Dear friends,
On October 9, 2024, the scientific journal Nature published a major study done by 30 carefully selected international scientists.
By way of background, Nature is one of the oldest and most respected scientific journals in the world. According to the initial conclusions of this erudite 3-year study: "Any warming of the climate, even temporarily above 1.5°C, would cause irreversible consequences for the future of humanity on the planet Earth.
For your information, the 1.5°C threshold was set in the Paris Agreement, which came out of COP 21 in December 2015. This agreement is a major legally binding international agreement on climate change.
The overall objective of this agreement is to "hold the global average temperature increase well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels" and to "pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels".
In case of failure to meet this threshold, it will have irreversible impacts that may last for millennia. For example, the thawing of permafrost would be a point of no return. In case of its disappearance, this immense reservoir of carbon would release vast amounts of additional greenhouse gases (GHGs). This would heat the planet even more.
According to the 30 scientific authors of the extensive study, published in Nature under the title "Overconfidence in Climate Overshoot", simply exceeding the 1.5°C threshold would cause sea levels to rise by an additional 40 centimeters. This could be a matter of life and death for island nations.
"Even if temperatures were to fall back after crossing this threshold, the world we live in would not be the same as if the 1.5°C threshold had not been crossed," says Dr. Carl-Friedrich Schleussner. He is the leader of the scientific team behind the scholarly study published in Nature.
Given the delay in the development of greenhouse gas (GHG) capture technology, some scientists and policymakers now consider it inevitable that the 1.5°C threshold will be exceeded.
Thanks to the R-Blades movement, we still believe that it is possible to live below 1.5°C global warming.
To get there, we will have to agree to use the regenerative drive of an internal combustion engine. This would lead to a 50% reduction in greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the transportation sector : Air, Land, and Water. This will allow us to ensure our existence below 1.5°C of global warming. Not to forget the many of the other efforts to be undertook.
All of this, of course, will be covered in the report entitled "A real path to peace in climate change through regenerative propulsion", a special report that will be published in December 2027.
This special report will certainly change the paradigm of transportation that is propelled by internal combustion engine, but in what way ?
The report will propose an entirely new doctrine of cooperation on climate change that includes all vehicles, the installation of a gas absorption algorithm that allows a 50% reduction in greenhouse gases, and an end to lawsuits against oil companies. This is the only way to achieve peace on climate change.
As a member of the R-Blades Movement, you will have a front row seat to the presentation of this report in real time during my speech at the UN.
You need to know this : According to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), by October 9, 2024, the climate will be well over 1.3°C warmer than pre-industrial levels.
If we continue our life practices as we do as of now, the IPCC predicts that we will reach the 1.5°C threshold by 2035.
Thank you for taking an active part in our growth and independence,

Thierry Laforest, Dr h. c.
